Oh my, I have been dreading this day for a while now, partly because I will have to admit to doing a whooping 45 salutations the whole month, and partly because the end of February means my birthday is just around the corner and I am not yet mature enough to embrace getting old(er).
I am not even going to try making excuses for not doing any yoga, I was just lazy. And it was hot, and we moved and Shadow had a bladder infection, and work was... well, it's called work for a reason. I did manage to squeeze in a gym session and some squats (close to 1000 actually, so at least I have that to show for), but I promise this is going to change. Come Monday, I will leave my early 20's behind and get my schedule together (my life is pretty together, it's just my lack of time management skills that is in the way).
As I was saying, we moved. The time it takes to get from home to work has been reduced from 20 minutes to 1. 1! And that is including locking the door and gate. Guess what, I am still late 2 out of 5 times... On the day of the move, besides the 38 degrees weather, the sky was clear and the moon was full. It's just so peaceful to sit on the balcony and look at the moon, especially because on this side of the planet it is brighter and closer. Perhaps the edges of the ozone hole have reached us again... On the bright side, I have given up using SPF 50 on a regular basis, as the 4 minutes a day that I am in the sun are not worth the uncomfortably heavy formula (I also come home for lunch every day).
My goal for the month of March is to wake up really early and go for my gym session in the morning, because by the time I finish work, I am so hungry, all I can think about is dinner, and my motivation goes down the drain. I have been trying to wake up a bit earlier and just stay awake, even if I don't get out of bed, but it hasn't worked out very well so far, as I have been going to bed late, so this will be quite a challenge. We'll see how it goes in a month's time.
On a final note, I choose to blame my going to bed late on finally having fast internet at home. I have not had fast internet at home in more than 5 years. Productivity at work has gone down significantly.
