This Bobbi Brown Corrector must have been the discovery of the year (2013) for me. I don’t even remember where I first read about this, but I do remember that I took note of it and thought that it made complete sense, it just always slipped my mind when shopping. I can’t believe I put this purchase off for so long, I guess I am usually more attracted to shiny things rather than practical ones. Luckily I spotted it one evening when I was doing some speed shopping without anything specific in mind. It works like a charm to neutralise my dark circles and has made concealer redundant. I have been wanting to try the Estee Lauder Double Wear concealer for some time now, but that might need to be put on the back burner for now.
The product is quite waxy, so the best way to apply it – for me at least – is using my ring finger, to warm it up, then blend it either with a fluffy blending brush, or the same finger, depending on how much time I have to get ready. There is some creasing throughout the day, but it can be minimised if set with powder and then again, I don’t really expect concealer not too move at all when I smile, so I am not put off by this, but to work around this issue, I try to apply it mostly at the inner corner, where it is darkest.
Since I started using it, I have made a mental note to get another one or two just to have as a back-up in case I finish it or misplace it. I would recommend visiting a Bobbi Brown counter and asking the assistant for help to find the right colour, I thought I would need Light Bisque but she recommended Light Peach and I am glad I listened to her - it may look scary orange in the pot, but it works wonders; and I also think that the packaging deservs a special mention, it's light but does not feel cheap, and the mirror does come in handy when you need to do touch ups on the go.
